Money To Help Mississippi First Time Buyers Goes Mostly Unused

It’s been nearly a year since the Mississippi Home Partnership was awarded about $300,000 the help Mississippi first time home buyers turn their dream of owning their first residence into a reality. Rather surprisingly, most of that money sits waiting for first time buyers to request it.

MS News Now reports:

The MS Home Partnership received about $300K last year to help first time home buyers, and today most of that money has not been used.

The grant can provide up to $25,000 for help with a down payment, closing and other costs associated with buying a house.
